Michele de Nevers is a Visiting Associate at the Center for Global Development. She leads the work on climate finance, with a focus on adaptation finance, REDD+ and private sector investment. She worked for 29 years in the World Bank leading the Bank’s preparation of its Environment Strategy and its work on climate change and other environmental issues.
While the effects of climate change are being felt worldwide, it is in the most vulnerable developing states that the most significant impacts will be felt. Mitigating against the effects of climate change requires unparalleled levels of cooperation across different sectors and different types of organizations: this session will examine how best to address climate change and its effects on the region.
