TGS deliver first vehicles for North African Refugee Crisis
Published on 06 May 2011
TGS received an order for a Hilux and for a Hardtop 76 on Wednesday 2nd March in the morning and these were needed at a Spanish airport by early morning on Friday 4th March. We set everything in motion to make this delivery, then during the course of the day we discussed the possibility of adding 2 pre-prepared ambulances to the delivery so that they would have 4 vehicles for rapid deployment in Tunisia instead of two.
The order for the 2 ambulances came in at 17.36 on Wednesday afternoon and everyone pulled together to ensure that TGS could add/fit options to the ambulances and ship the vehicles as quickly as possible. The vehicles arrived in time to make the emergency aid airlift.
TGS have met the customer's high expectations, our vehicles have been operational in the affected area as from 4th March. Once again TGS has proved that despite working against the clock and to a very tight deadline we are second to none when we need to move things quickly and professionally, especially in times of emergencies.
