Winners of the AIDF Asia-Pacific ‘Best Stand’ and ‘Most Innovative Product’ Announced’!

AIDF is a leading global event for NGOs, governments, intergovernmental organizations, aid agencies and the UN to meet in order to share best practices, debate key issues in the aid and international development sector, exhibit new technologies and services, and create new partnerships. Yesterday, the organizers launched the inaugural Asia-Pacific event at the IMPACT Convention and Exhibition Center, Bangkok

Over the last two days, visitors were asked to vote on the ‘Best Stand’ and ‘Most Innovative Product’. Best Stand was won by headline sponsor, the ‘RMA Group’.
Nicholas Ling, Group Marketing Director said “We are honored to have been voted winner of the Best Stand Award, the show has been a great success and we are looking forward to next year.”


SES Group Ltd won the Most Innovative Product award for emergency.lu which is a public-private partnership set up by the Luxembourg government to improve the preparedness and rapid response capacity of the humanitarian community. It consists of satellite infrastructure, capacity and ground terminals; a multi-layer communication and coordination platform; logistics to deploy equipment and staff within two hours of an alert.


Runners up were Adaptive Eyewear, a social enterprise that supplies adjustable eyeglasses to humanitarian aid and relief organizations and Fcubed for their Solar Water Purifier & Solar Desalination Technology


Winner, Alan Kuresevic, Vice President – Engineering of SES TechCom said “We are happy that we have showed that the combination of innovative products like satellites from SES, IT services from HITEC and ground inflatable antennas from GATR, creates an advanced and innovative service: emergency.lu, that provides even more value to the humanitarian community.


The awards were presented by AIDF Washington DC 2012 ‘Most Innovative Product' winner, Jimmy Allen, President and owner of the Leading Edge Group.
