World Food Programme (WFP)

Having worked for the UN World Food Programme for over a decade, Norwegian national Alf Ellefsen is well accustomed with the huge demands on IT in the humanitarian sector. Since joining WFP for the Kosovo emergency, Alf has held a number of technical and managerial posts and has been involved in many of the major emergency operations since then including Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan. Prior to joining WFP, Alf worked in Information and Telecommunications Technology in the private sector as well as with the UN’s Department of Peace-Keeping Operations. Recently transferred to New York, Alf currently holds the position of Regional IT Officer.
