ICT, Power & Energy Efficiency

Energy is at the heart of development and relief efforts. Clean, efficient, affordable and reliable energy services are indispensible for helping 3.5 billion people transcend poverty and helping the global community respond to disasters. Decentralized power systems have a number of strategic advantages over large-scale, centralized power systems. Decentralized energy technology can provide clean and efficient power at a competitive delivered cost to the end user. In addition, decentralized systems have a number of advantages in terms of energy security and reliability in disaster situations and are the key to providing energy access to the global populations that are deprived of access to a modern power grid.
