In her role at USAID Kat constructs strategic communications for the office and for the Innovation pillar of USAID Forward's reform agenda.  She is also point for Open Agriculture Data Initiative, and is designing innovation workshop and trainings.  She previously served on the Secretary's innovation staff at the State Department working on the Internet Freedom agenda, mWomen initative, and tech@State and TechCamp conferences.
